I got the opportunity to rebuild the new four-storey chalet. The entrance or driveway to the house was planned at the very bottom. Finally, an underground car park with five parking spaces, a ski cellar, some storage rooms, and a spacious entrance area with a large cloakroom were placed here.
The floor above offered some extra accommodation in addition to the guest area and the utility room. A 17-meter-long pool was built. The pool area also includes relaxing facilities and a sauna. There is also a small fitness area.
The guest apartment is also very spacious. It includes two bedrooms with associated bathrooms, a living, and a dining area. The “sleeping floor” is directly above. This level includes four bedrooms with a direct view of the Hahnenkamm. Each bedroom has a bathroom. Among these four rooms there´s the master bedroom which also includes a large walk-in dressing room. There is also a playroom for the children.
The top floor is the focal point of the house. Here too there is an entrance with a cloakroom. The entire kitchen and living areas are flooded with light. Due to the classic gabled roof, the ceiling in the living and dining rooms is very high. As a result, the area appears very open but is still cosy.
On this level there is a large terrace with lounge furniture and another balcony with a view of the Hahnenkamm. In addition, a hidden staircase leads to a small attic. There is a work and relaxation corner here.
To keep with the location, the entire house consists mostly of reclaimed wood on the inside and stone and wood panelling on the outside. The chalet also has high-quality stone installed on the lower part of the facade. Old wood can also be found in the house. It can be seen on ceilings, built-in beds or throughout the stairwell. Not only the stairwell but also the elevator connects all levels. It is covered with high-quality leather.
Special features: Walls covered with fabric, cupboards with leather, elevator inside with leather, recurring old wood, photo print on wood as a cupboard of the wall elements, double bunk beds, sunbathing area in the cinema, toilet and shower in the master bathroom with mirror glass, natural stone in the swimming pool, modern Bulthaup kitchen.
The materials I mainly used for this chalet are concrete, wood, metal, stone, reclaimed wood, fabric, and leather.
